Paithani, Patola, Banarasi and Kanjivaram pieces get handled accordingly — measured twice, clipped rather than pinned, and cut to put the border where it belongs.

The zari border is planned into the cut — across the sleeve hem, the back yoke or the neckline — before a single scissor mark is made.
Cotton lining underneath
Pure silk against skin in an Ahmedabad summer is nobody's friend. A soft cotton lining goes in as standard, so the blouse stays wearable through a full day function.

Bring the blouse piece and the saree
Both, not just the piece. The saree tells us where the border repeats and how the zari should carry across to the blouse.

Measurement and cut planning
We mark where the border will land and confirm whether the piece is long enough for the sleeve length you want before anything is cut.

Cut and line
Clipped rather than pinned through the silk, cut with the border plan, and lined in cotton for wearability.

Fitting and press
One fitting, adjustments, then a low-heat press that will not flatten the zari. Ready in five to seven days.
What's included
Worried the blouse piece is too short?
Bring it in before you buy matching fabric. Most short pieces can still take a full sleeve with the border repositioned, and we will tell you at the counter rather than after cutting.

Before you come in.
Can you stitch from the blouse piece attached to my saree?
Yes, that is the usual way we work with silk. Bring the saree along with the piece — the saree shows us how the border repeats, which decides where it should land on the blouse.
My blouse piece is short. Is it still usable?
Usually. Repositioning the border, shortening the sleeve, or adding a matched contrast panel at the back can save a short piece. Bring it in and we will confirm before cutting rather than after.
Will the zari border be matched across the blouse?
That is the part we plan first. The border can carry across the sleeve hem, the back yoke or the neckline, and we agree which one with you before the piece is cut.
Do you line silk blouses?
Cotton lining goes in as standard. It keeps the blouse wearable through a long Ahmedabad function and protects the silk from perspiration marks.
How long does a silk blouse take?
Five to seven days. Silk is slower than cotton to handle safely — clipped instead of pinned, pressed at low heat — and rushing it is how zari gets damaged.
